Department of DoubtForm 1: About us
About the Department of Doubt
Every day the internet files a claim. Pumpkin spice in August. A new app that will finally replace group chats. Everyone quitting their job to raise alpacas. The Department reviews it, writes a short official note, and slams a big red rubber stamp on it: I DON'T THINK SO.
About once every few weeks a claim is simply true, and the Department, with visible reluctance, stamps it FINE. I THINK SO.
How a case is filed
- Each morning the Department reads what the internet is excited about: trends, products, habits, the weather.
- It restates one claim in its own words and writes its official note.
- At 09:00 Istanbul time the case opens. You vote: do you agree with the Department?
- The ruling joins the archive. Come back tomorrow and your doubt streak grows.
The rules the Department follows
- We stamp trends, hype, products and habits. Never people.
- No health, medical, money, investing, election or tragedy topics. A stamp is a joke, not advice.
- Claims are written in our own words. No real logos, no screenshots of real posts.
- Reader submissions are read by a human before anything is stamped, and are never shown unreviewed.
Stamp anything
Have your own claim to deny? Stamp Anything makes an official card in your browser. We never see what you type.
Is this real?
No. The Department of Doubt is satire. It is not a government office, it has no authority, and it doubts itself daily. Read the satire notice.
